AUGUST 22ND - BBQ DISCO/KARAOKE

We are holding this event at the Chalet Bar on the above date. The BBQ will be lit at 6.30 pm (bring your own food and drink)

The disco/karaoke will be presented by Mike Webber.

There is no need for advance booking for this function.


AUGUST BANK HOLIDAY 29TH - 31ST

As you know from the directory we are planning a trip to Hartford Marina for this bank holiday including a dinghy trip in the back waters and plan to meet on 29th at the venue. The Marina have reserved an area for us and we can socialise and BBQ. For those wanting to eat out there is the facility of the pub, where you can walk or boat to.

On this same weekend (28th, 29th & 30th) we also learn that there is a beer festival at The Cock in Hemingford Grey. Apparently there is music every night and a BBQ. They also have marquees in case the weather is not too good. Several members have indicated they might like to attend this, which would mean mooring at Hemingford or St Ives and walking to the venue or taking a taxi or mini bus from Hartford. It is of course a bank holiday and whilst the moorings have been reserved at Hartford, it may be a struggle to moor up at Hemingford or St. Ives.

As we have to let Hartford Marina know approx how many boats they will be accommodating perhaps you could either email or telephone me if you are coming, prior to 24th August.
